The opposition parties reportedly refused to meet a governmen
t delegation on Friday.
A governmen
t delegation comprising information minister, state minister for interior and other leaders wanted to meet the opposition, but the latter refused to hold a mee
ting over government adjourning the National Assembly session.
The opposition conveyed to the governmen
t delegation that the NA session held great
importance due to prevailing tension in the country, claiming that the session was adjourned under a
deliberate attempt by the government to preven
t discussion on the mater. “Now all talks will be held in the parliament, and nowhere else,” former opposition leader Khursheed Shah reportedly conveyed to the government team.
